The year’s first truly great movie. "Crash" is an interweaved jangle of people and situations, all centered on race and culture. Attitudes, beliefs and prejudices are analyzed, tested, reinforced and shredded. There are no good guys or bad guys, just people. The cast is first rate and share screen time pretty much equally.
The movie's strong suit is that it draws no conclusions. It just observes people going about their business and how race factors in to their activities and behaviors, rationally or not. I highly recommend "Crash" as being both highly entertaining and thought provoking.
